5. It’s Not Summer Without You

Writer: Jenny Hann

The Summer I Turned Pretty trilogy continues with Its Not Summer Without You. It seemed to me that this novel and its storyline were a little too long. In an effort to make the best amazon books series. Belly’s relationship with Jeremiah and Conrad remained the same in the second novel, which was essentially the same as in the first. Belly’s relationship with Jeremiah is making the situation even more difficult. For the duration of the book, I could not stop cringing.

Belly’s ordeal was made much worse by the fact that Conrad and Jeremiah were brothers. It’s no secret that Belly has a crush on one of her brothers, but she’s secretly in love with the other one. Belly’s handling of these situations is clearly a recipe for disaster, and the novel as a whole appears to be a jumbled mess as a result. As a whole, I believe that It’s Not Summer Without You was a superfluous sequel and that the plot of The Summer I Turned Pretty could have been wrapped up at the end of the first book.
