3- Add Layers For Drainage

Your container doesn’t have drainage holes at the bottom, so you’ll need to create a drainage layer to protect water from the plant roots. Place a layer of moss on the bottom of your terrarium to collect additional water. Preferable to start with a 2-inch layer of rock at the bottom of the terrarium, not moss. A tall, narrow terrarium requires a deeper layer of drainage stone than a wide, shallow container.
