10 Best Movies on New Year Night You Won’t Miss

Have you planned Best Movies on New Year Night already? Some of us have so much on our list while there are others who don’t know how they will spend their evening. Perhaps, the best way would be to watch a movie with friends and family. I am planning to cook dinner for my partner on this lovely evening. We will be watching two movies using our Wow Internet Unlimited plan. Sounds like a plan, right? But which movies to watch?

1: When Harry Met Sally
I am sure you have watched this Billy Crystal and Meg Ryan staring movie already. It is full of quippy one-liners. It’s about two graduates who encounter each other and become friends for a short while. 5 years later, fate brings them together. These two forced each other to deal with feelings. If you want to learn more about 80s fashion, this movie is a nice option. You might also find lots of relatable moments.
2: The Holiday
It’s one of the sweetest romantic comedies ever made. The movie stars Kate Winslet and Cameron Diaz who fall in love where they least expected to. It’s really the Best Movies on New Year Night. There is a small scene about New Year’s Eve but that too at the end of the movie. It’s one of the best parts though.
3: Four Rooms
The movie actually takes place in a hotel on New Year’s Eve. Quentin Tarantino and Robert Rodriguez produced this film. The movie chronicles on the misadventure of Ted. On his first night on the job, he is asked to help out a coven of witches in a honeymoon suite. You can expect adventure from this movie.
4: Ghostbusters II (1989)
Ghostbusters is one of the popular movies among teens and adults. If you are suffering from holiday fatigue, this will cheer you up. Evil is menacing in New York City. A group of people come together to sing Auld Lang Syne and defeat the clan. You will be heading into 2020 with a good mood.
5: The Poseidon Adventure
If you are craving for incredible action scenes this New Year’s Eve, you wouldn’t want to miss out on this one. This 70s movie is about a luxury cruise ship which unfortunately gets capsized by the rogue wave. The ship literally turns upside down. Expect 10 lucky ones, all other passengers die. The cast of the movie is amazing. You will see Ernest Borgnine, Gene Hackman, Shelley Winters, and Red Buttons.
6: After the Thin Man (1936)
Some of you might haven’t watched this movie. The charm of William Powell and Myrna Loy will be a treat for you. It is about a married couple who think they will be having a tiresome New Year’s Eve. They end up solving a mystery which makes the night more fun.
7: 200 Cigarettes
The movie stars Ben Affleck, Kate Hudson, Christina Ricci, Paul Rudd, Dave Chappelle, and Martha Plimpton. This rom-com runs its course over one night on the 1981 New Year’s Eve. 7 people make a pact to break up, hook up or get in trouble. Trust me, you will be having a memorable time watching 200 Cigarettes from the comfort of your couch.
8: Boogie Nights
This dazzling drama movie has a lot of offer. It’s about an adult- film actor whose career takes a downward spiral. Holiday is not the entire topic of the movie but it’s still worth watching. Things might get a little graphic here.
9: The Gold Rush (1925)
Do you remember Charlie Chaplain putting rolls at the end of two forks and making them dance? I bet you don’t know why and when he does that? It happens on the night of New Year when he gets dumped by a girl. To find out if he ever gets reunited with the girl of his dream, you must watch The Gold Rush.
10: Happy New Year, Charlie Brown!
If you are a fan of Snoopy, you will love Happy New Year, Charlie Brown. The run time is 30 minutes online so you can probably fit another movie in your schedule.
Would Charlie brown get his homework done in time to attend New Year’s Eve party thrown by Peppermint Patty? PS. His crush, the red hair girl, will be at the party as well.
